It is hard to ignore Esme and his resolve slowly starts to crumble. And the only silver lining in her life is St John.

There are, perhaps, a few places where the characters’ past history and current personalities might not stand up to close scrutiny — but the turns of phrase are quite deft, and the characters are Deleted it off my Kindle. This book was extra scandalous and not enjoyable. John, chridtine also shows how the people in the first book have prospered. Christine lives in Wisconsin with her family. Beautiful romance; both leads tug at your heart; the storyline is plausible and dramatic while remaining believable and realistic; family dynamics are very well-done; sexual tension is exactly right.
